Melbourne’s six Repco Supercars Championship teams made the difficult decision to leave the Victorian capital earlier this week as uncertainty continues around the state’s latest COVID-19 outbreak.

The Victorian Supercars teams had to be in New South Wales by the end of Wednesday in order to spend two weeks out of the COVID-19 hotspot and travel into the Northern Territory in time for the next event in Darwin.

Thanks to Team 18, we received some footage of the team’s B-Double race transporter leaving its Mount Waverley base earlier this week, with its fan-favourite Kenworth T909 doing the hard work up front.

You can check it out here.

The transporter is driven by Mark Nelson, who will be joined by the team’s essential personnel in New South Wales as preparations continue for Hidden Valley.

The Merlin Darwin Triple Crown begins on Friday June 18, but not before a transporter parade through the Darwin CBD on Wednesday June 16. More on that shortly!
