MORE FOR AUSSIES THAN EVER
We’ve made plenty of noise about race transporters outside Australia this week, but there’s a whole lot of Aussie transporter content in the pipeline
You might have noticed a tweak to our Trucks at Tracks Australia logo recently. It’s not a complete overhaul, but the big, bonneted B-Double race transporter stands for our commitment to showcase the very best rigs Australia has to offer.
We’re fair dinkum about giving Australian race transporter fans the local content you want to see. So, here’s a quick rundown of what’s coming up in the second half of 2021.
The ‘Transporter Tour’ video series
The number one thing we’ve been missing is footage and photos inside the race transporters you see on our social media every day. And that’s a pretty big thing to miss, given the creative layouts inside the rigs that roll up to race tracks every weekend.
It’s time to change that. Next month, we’ll post the first video in our Transporter Tour series, which as the name suggests, is a guided tour of the inside and outside of the transporters you see at the track. This will become a regular feature on our Facebook and YouTube accounts.
The ‘Trailer Tracker’ series
Ever found yourself wondering which race team has what trailer, and who built them? We’ll answer as many of these questions as we can in our new ‘Trailer Tracker’ series on trucksattracks.com. Here, we’ll dig into the history of the race trailers in everything from Supercars to speedway. Niche? Yes. Worth doing? Absolutely!
‘Five minutes with’ series
We post a lot of trucks and transporters on here, and it’s a formula that works pretty well. However, as advanced as these things are, they still depend on humans to safely steer the race equipment to the track and back. In this weekly written series, we’ll throw a couple of questions at motorsport truck drivers both in Australia and around the world and learn the ins and outs of life behind the wheel.
Trucks at Tracks merchandise
We’re working on some cool designs and taglines for Trucks at Tracks t-shirts and hats. Then we’ll see what sticks and expand the range. You can squeeze a couple more items in your wardrobe, right? They’ll be more than worthy for race tracks, holidays and possibly weddings.
More transporter trips
These are difficult to do in the COVID-19 era, but we’re teeing up at least three more trips in race transporters later this year, which we’ll document in both written and video form. This is all about showcasing the commitment Australian race teams make to hit the track for our entertainment. And sometimes, that means travelling over 4000 kilometres to a race track and back.
Speedway rigs all over Australia
It’s a Saturday night staple in all corners of Australia during summer, and there’s always a lot of love for the rigs that make speedway happen. Being Melbourne-based during COVID-19, we’ve recently stuck to Avalon Raceway, Premier Speedway and Simpson Speedway in Victoria, but as the situation (hopefully) improves for the summer of 2021/2022, we’re going interstate to bring you more of the speedway rigs that deliver thrilling V8 weaponry to the track.
You’ll be able to find all this content on our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube accounts.
