With the Supercars Championship firing to life at Hidden Valley Circuit today, we’re looking back at the race transporter parade through Darwin back in 2010.

This was the seventh round of the 2010 season, coming off a dominant display for Dick Johnson Racing and James Courtney at Winton Motor Raceway.

But it was Ford Performance Racing’s Mark Winterbottom and Triple Eight Race Engineering’s Jamie Whincup who split the honours at Hidden Valley that weekend. This round is also remembered for Jason Richards’ second consecutive Saturday pole position at the Darwin circuit.

The transporter parade took place earlier that week, and back then, it used to be run in the heat of the day.

Thanks to Graham Trill, who was on Mitchell Street that day, you can check out the transporters rolling through the Darwin CBD below.
