NO INVITE FOR THE SUPERCARS TRANSPORTERS

Surely the ITM Auckland Supersprint invites for the Supercars transporters have been lost in the mail.

How could the very machines hauling the Virgin Australia Supercars roadshow be left behind just as the championship reaches its high point for the year?

Actually, there is quite a good reason for that. The Virgin Australia Supercars teams simply must travel light this weekend as they cross the Tasman for the penultimate round of the 2017 championship at Pukekohe Park Raceway. Unlike the journey to Tasmania where the transporters cross Bass Strait on a roll-on/roll-off ferry, the freight to New Zealand is moved in the air. This means that there is no ticket for our transporters this weekend.

However, there has already been some cool transporter-related content coming from the teams as they drop their precious freight off in Victoria including this video from Mobil 1 HSV Racing, some unpacking shots from Shell V-Power Racing and the usual cheeky post from Stax Freightliner.

It may be a quiet week for Trucks at Tracks on the Virgin Australia Supercars front, but we are loading up our next edition of the Frank Gaffiero and Bandag Bullet series to be published this Wednesday.

Stay tuned on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
