Charlotte-based Hendrick Motorsports is currently recruiting a hauler driver to join its ranks for the 2022 NASCAR season. Fancy steering some championship-winning equipment all over America next year?

The listing was first posted in mid-July, and while there’s no closing date mentioned, the reigning Cup Series champions will want to lock in a driver shortly as the North American winter approaches and preparations begin for an all-new set of regulations for 2022.

Hendrick Motorsports is based in the heartland of NASCAR territory in North Carolina. We’re not exaggerating when we say it’s no more than a five-minute drive from Charlotte Motor Speedway. And if you’re a fan of NASCAR history, the team factory is less than two hours from North Wilkesboro Speedway, Hickory Motor Speedway and Rockingham Speedway.

There aren’t too many surprises in the listing. It’s a role that encompasses much more than steering the hauler from the workshop to the track, with safety, presentation and diligence at the heart of every responsibility. And, of course, a willingness to spend a lot of time away from home to follow NASCAR’s gruelling schedule.

Hendrick Motorsports is seeking applications from drivers with a couple of years’ experience behind the wheel, and their preferred candidate will have clocked up some miles in motorsport and/or event logistics.

If you’re itching to throw your hat in the ring, you can view the full listing here.

The NASCAR haulers headed back to base this week after the championship finale to complete their final trip of the 2021 season. And predictably, the #5 Team’s hauler was the last to leave Phoenix Raceway on Sunday night.

The first race of the 2022 season will involve a 2400-mile drive from east to west, with the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum set to host the Busch Light Clash on February 6.

Make sure you’re following our global accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to catch all the NASCAR hauler movements in 2022.
