F1 TRUCKS ON SHOW AT SILVERSTONE
Preparations are underway for the 2021 Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, and it’s heaven for European truck fans
The 2021 British Grand Prix is only days away. And for fans of all things diesel, it’s an opportunity to see some of the F1 truck fleets in all their glory.
Fresh off a 1600-kilometre trip from the Red Bull Racing in Austria, the trucks have been arriving at Silverstone over the past couple of days, with the crews preparing to bolt together their race cars and build their pit paddock facilities this week.
British truck photographer, Paul Sames, captured a couple of the F1 truck lineups outside Silverstone on Friday. And as always, they made for a spectacular sight.
IVECO was the most well-represented brand on Friday, with the fleets of Scuderia Ferrari and Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN in formation. Ferrari’s association with IVECO stretches back decades, while Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN linked up with the Italian manufacturer back in 2019.
Check out their impressive lineups below, including one of Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN’s brand-new IVECO S-Way prime movers.
Williams Racing brought the eye candy for Scania fans, with a fleet of Scania 450S prime movers lined up less than an hour from the team’s base in Grove. Check out four of them below.
Staying with the Scandinavian manufacturers, and Paul also captured a quarter of McLaren’s 24-strong fleet of Volvo FH prime movers (pictured above).
