It’s time for a Top End convoy! Darwin is preparing to host the second Repco Supercars Championship transporter parade of the year tomorrow night, giving local Supercars fans the chance to see some of the most spectacular race transporters anywhere in the world.

It’s an impressive route, too, featuring some of the busiest streets in Darwin. The B-Double convoy will leave Hidden Valley Raceway at 6:30pm local time. They’ll rumble toward the Darwin CBD via the Stuart Highway and Daly Street before a left-hand turn onto bustling Mitchell Street.

From there, the trucks will power through the heart of Darwin along Mitchell Street, before a left onto Knuckey Street, another left onto McMinn Street and then a right onto Garramilla Boulevard. They’ll then turn left onto Tiger Brennan Drive and then head back to Hidden Valley Raceway to park up for Thursday’s unload.

You can find the full route here.

In typical Darwin fashion at this time of year, the weather couldn’t be any better for a diesel convoy in fading light. And if you’re thinking of bringing the family along, there’s entertainment at Raintree Park from 4pm local time. Just make sure you’re roadside when the convoy arrives!

You can find us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. And if you snap any transporter photos or footage of your own this week, you’re always welcome to share it on our Facebook group.
