A NEW WRAP FOR STAX

It was all white for a while, but now we have a wrap!

Here’s our first look at the brand-new wrap for Stax Freightliner, one of Brad Jones Racing’s two Repco Supercars Championship B-Double race transporters.

It’s out with the yellow and black colour scheme from last year, and in with a white, navy blue and grey combination for 2021.

The left-hand-side features prominent Coca-Cola signage at the pointy end of the A-Trailer, while R&J Batteries occupies prime real-estate at the rear.

It’s all BJR signage on the right-hand-side, though there are still some stickers to be applied between now and the trip to Tasmania, with the COVID-19 delay buying some valuable time for the finishing touches.

The transporter was last seen in all white at last month’s Sandown SuperSprint. That’s because the freshly-refurbished A-Trailer had just been repainted before being loaded up for Sandown, so the wrap had to wait a little longer.

The Albury outfit’s long partnership with Freightliner continues this year, with two prime movers in use including the same Freightliner Coronado we’ve seen in the paddock since 2017. And we reckon its driver, Paul Eddy, wouldn’t have it any other way.

And while we’re at it, a big thank you to Paul Eddy for flicking through the photos and information for this story.

Make sure you follow Stax Freightliner on Facebook and Instagram to see trip to the Apple Isle starting from the week of Monday April 12.
