WE’VE GONE GLOBAL! RIDE WITH RACE TRANSPORTERS FROM AROUND THE WORLD

There’s a big world of race transporters and haulers out there, and we’re out to find them

Hello world! Today marks the global expansion of our mission to make race transporters the stars of motorsport. We’re biting off more than we can possibly chew as a one-person band working out of a small apartment in Melbourne, Australia. But as the late Peter Brock once said, “bite off more than you can chew, and then chew like hell.”

If you’ve ever wanted to see and learn more about the race transporters and haulers that make F1, NASCAR, IndyCar, MotoGP and more happen, you’re in the right place.

What we’re doing

The biggest change you’ll see is a new global Facebook page and Instagram account with a brand-new logo featuring not one, but three race transporters. That’s where we’ll be posting race transporter and hauler content from all corners of the earth.

The other tweak we’ve made is switching our existing Trucks at Tracks accounts on Facebook and Instagram to ‘Trucks at Tracks Australia’, with a distinctly Australian transporter featured in the logo. This was a tough decision, but it means we can keep posting all sorts of local race transporters for our thousands of Australian fans.

You might be wondering why. Well, we’ve found that global content has limited success on our existing Facebook and Instagram pages, where Australians make up the majority of the following. And each post that doesn’t go well impacts the number of people who see our posts in the future. That’s why having Trucks at Tracks Australia as a place to post our Australian content made sense, so that global content doesn’t hurt our engagement rate, and everyone interested in global transporters can follow our new pages.

What to expect and where

You’ll find everything we post – whether it’s Australian or global – right here on trucksattracks.com. However, you’ll see that the home page will start filling up with more race transporter content from around the world.

However, if you’re just interested in Australian race transporter content, we’ve got you covered. If you don’t already, you can follow our Australian page on Facebook and Instagram, and we also have a dedicated section on the website only for Australian stories, which you can find at trucksattracks.com/Australia. Here, you’ll find everything from million-dollar Repco Supercars Championship B-Doubles to lower-budget sprint car transporters at speedways around Australia.

For global content, make sure you follow our brand-spanking-new Trucks at Tracks pages on Facebook and Instagram. And if Australian race transporters don’t interest you, we’ve created a dedicated global section for race transporters from around the world. You can find it at trucksattracks.com/global.

We haven’t touched our Twitter or YouTube accounts, which are both under the global Trucks at Tracks banner. You can find us on Twitter here, and check out our growing YouTube channel at this link.

Why give our global content a shot?

There are some incredible race transporter setups owning roads and racetracks in North America, Europe, South America and Asia. And frankly, we’re fascinated with the different approaches to the same problems; how to safely move race cars and their equipment and how to make it as cool as possible for team sponsors and truck manufacturers alike.

We’ll regularly feature Formula 1, MotoGP, NASCAR and IndyCar haulers. However, it certainly won’t end there. We’re also looking at getting race transporter content from Japan’s SuperGT and Super Formula Series, Brazil’s Stock Car and Copa Truck categories, European Truck Racing, F1 feeder categories and WEC. But there’ll be plenty of other one-off events where transporters get a feature, too.

We can’t promise comprehensive coverage from every race weekend, but we’ll be working remotely to source photos, footage and stories from the ground. And when Aussies are allowed to travel overseas again, you can bet we’ll be waiting outside the racetracks to film the rigs rolling in.
