TRAVELLING TO TOWNSVILLE: DAY THREE

Mission accomplished! The Preston Hire Racing transporter has safely hauled the goods from home base to Townsville ahead of this weekend's Supercars round at Reid Park.

Colin Schwartz has been at the helm for three days and crossed three states in Preston Hire Racing's Kenworth T610 prime mover. Today, the three-transporter convoy including Vin Borgia from Milwaukee Racing and Trent Levi from Mobil 1 Boost Mobile Racing covered the remaining distance from Springsure to Townsville.

Enjoy Colin's recap of the day!

Well, we made it safe and sound to the Townsville truck wash.

Despite completing 2691 kilometres, we are not quite finished yet! We have to wash up tomorrow in preparation for the annual transporter parade on Wednesday.

The weather was a lot warmer today, but we still managed to find a bit of rain. The roads we travelled were unforgiving unless you are in a trusty Kenworth T610. It dominated the road and smoothed out the harshest of bumps.

I look forward to sharing a few photos and a video with you all after Wednesday’s transporter parade as we make our way through Townsville to the track.

Cheers from @PHRtruck.
