Launceston, the Supercars transporters are coming your way!

The first Virgin Australia Supercars Championship transporter parade of the year will be hosted on the streets of Launceston this afternoon.

All 13 team transporters will be line astern in a showcase of the incredible professionalism of Australia’s top-tier motorsport category.

Big truck brands will be represented including Kenworth, Western Star, IVECO, MAN, Freightliner, International, Mack, Volvo and Mercedes-Benz. The latter returns to the paddock through a Matt Stone Racing and Daimler Trucks Gold Coast partnership announced on Trucks at Tracks yesterday.

According to the Supercars site, the trucks will depart Symmons Plains Raceway at 3pm and pass through Perth 10 minutes later before arriving in Launceston at 3.25pm.

The return trip commences at 4.15pm via Wellington Street and the Midland Highway. You can find the complete Supercars parade map here.
