Brazil’s Stock Car Pro Series is riding a wave of interest with several high-profile drivers, as well as a new manufacturer, joining the category over the past 18 months. And if that wasn’t enough, they’ve also thrown the old regulations out the window to make the V8-powered stock cars look, well, stock.

It’s been a hard-fought season so far, with nine different winners in nine rounds as the teams prepare for their second visit to the Autódromo Velocittà. And it’s all brewing into a grandstand finish, with Gabriel Casagrande just 16 points ahead of three-time champion, Daniel Serra.

That means there’s plenty of pressure on the teams in a crucial visit to the undulating 3.5-kilometre circuit in the Mogi Guaçu municipality of São Paulo this weekend.

Renowned Brazilian photographer, Duda Bairros, was on hand to capture the Stock Car Pro Series trucks and transporters arriving at the Autódromo Velocittà on Friday. Duda took some stunning photos on a bright day in the countryside north of São Paulo and generously gave us permission to share them.

The Stock Car Pro Series teams battle for points later today, with Guilherme Salas on pole position for the first of two 30-minute races. The green flag will wave just after 1:10PM local time.

Another big thank you to Duda Bairros for these photos. You can follow Duda on Instagram, and make sure you check out his website.
