Three Supercars truck drivers and their team’s prime movers are heading to country New South Wales today to deliver hay to a drought-stricken farm.

The idea originated about a month ago from Phil Munday, the team owner of 23 Red Racing. The team’s truck driver, Vinnie Borgia, ran with an idea that will see three Supercars prime movers delivering critical livestock feed.

Drawing on his extensive contacts, Vinnie got in touch with the helpful people from the Timboon Distillery who have organised approximately 150 bales of hay that will be transported to a farm located about an hour from Dubbo in New South Wales.

The trip comes after the Milwaukee Racing FGX Falcon of Will Davison sported Buy a Bale signage at Tailem Bend last month.

Piloting the Milwaukee Racing Freightliner Argosy, Vinnie will be accompanied by Preston Hire Racing’s Colin Schwartz in the team’s Kenworth T610 and Mobil 1 Boost Mobile Racing’s Trent Levi driving the Clayton outfit’s Scania R730 prime mover.

Their respective Supercars teams have been very supportive of the idea and extensive help has come from companies donating trailers and fuel. Freightliner, Kenworth and Scania have also backed the use of the prime movers for a very worthy cause.
