Ever wondered what would happen if you threw a set of Scania keys to a drift legend on snow?

Here’s some epic Friday viewing for you from the team at TransWeb’s Hokkaido yard in northern Japan, which is currently blanketed in thick snow.

Founded in 2001, TransWeb is heavily involved in motorsport, with its race transport solutions helping to move some of Japan’s biggest race teams all over the country. The Takeshi Maesawa-led company is also involved in the extensive logistics behind the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.

That’s why it’s making full use of its motorsport heritage in a video to entice drivers to the Tomisato-based company. And they pulled out the big guns to do it, inviting Japanese drift legend, Keiichi Tsuchiya, and well as current SuperGT and Super Formula driver, Toshiki Oyu, to its snowed-in Hokkaido yard.

The pair produce four minutes of epic footage, as Tsuchiya, often known as ‘The Drift King’, shows off his incredible skills honed over decades at the wheel of much nimbler machines. We also get to see some great tandem drifting with Toshiki Oyu at the wheel of an older model Scania R410.

You can watch the full video below.

How could you turn down a job with TransWeb after seeing that?

Toshiki Oyu will be in action when the 2022 SuperGT gets underway on April 16 at Okayama, while the Super Formula Championship begins a week earlier at Fuji on April 9.
