GALLERY: NEW-LOOK SUPERCARS TRANSPORTERS LEAVE WINTON TESTING

Braving a colony of bull ants to see the Victorian and New South Wales-based Supercars transporters departing Winton

The COVID-delayed pre-season test for the southern Supercars teams took place at Winton Motor Raceway yesterday as the teams prepared their cars for the 2021 season-opener at Bathurst.

It was too good a transporter spotting opportunity to pass up, so we made the trip up the Hume Freeway from Melbourne late in the afternoon and found an ideal but insect-infested spot outside the circuit to see the transporters hitting the road.

This was our first look at some of the new race transporter paint schemes and trucks for 2021, and we must say, it’s a fine-looking bunch that will roll into race paddocks around Australia this year.

Enjoy our gallery of each of the transporters leaving Winton Motor Raceway yesterday as the sun set on the Victorian Highlands.

Seeing some new trucks and trailers in the photos above? Look out for some stories about the major changes on each of these transporters over the coming days. And we must also say that not all the prime movers and paint schemes are complete for 2021.

It’ll be a tight turnaround and a busy weekend of preparations, with most teams making the trip to Mount Panorama Circuit early next week.

We’ve been caught up in Facebook’s media ban, but if you see any transporters out on the road, you can still post in our group, as well as our Twitter, Instagram and YouTube accounts.
