GALLERY: F1 TRANSPORTERS ARRIVE AT SILVERSTONE
The F1 trucks and race transporters are back in Britain ahead of this weekend’s 2022 British Grand Prix
It’s been a whirlwind start to the 2022 Formula 1 season, with the gear flying to the Middle East and Australia, then back to Europe, then to Miami, San Marino, and most recently, Baku and Montreal in consecutive weeks.
The hectic schedule has meant this weekend’s British Grand Prix is only the fourth round of the 2022 season where the F1 trucks will pull the gear to a racetrack. And this time, it’s in the F1 heartland just over an hour north of London.
It’s a short trip to Silverstone for most of the UK-based teams, and for Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team, it’s nothing more than a trip across the road from its factory to the Silverstone Circuit paddock.
The Italy and Switzerland-based teams had a little further to travel, clocking up around 1500 kilometres to arrive at the Towcester circuit late last week.
UK-based transport photographer, Lucy Sames, snapped some photos of the F1 team trucks arriving at Silverstone over the weekend. Check out some of her fantastic photos below.
