GALLERY: AUSTRALIAN RACING GROUP TRANSPORTERS UNDER LIGHTS

If you thought Australian race car transporters looked cool during the day, check them out under lights

We zoomed up the Hume Freeway to catch the fifth Australian Racing Group meeting of the year at Sydney Motorsport Park, and with so much racing on the card, the paddock was packed with race haulers.

At the pointy end were the TCR Australia teams, many of which are professional outfits and have the transporter weaponry to show it. Beside them were the Trans Am Australia rigs, and at the other end of the main pit paddock were the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge transporters.

Also occupying the expansive Sydney Motorsport Park paddock were the Touring Car Masters, S5000, Aussie Racing Cars and Australian Prototype Series rigs.

With the dulcet tones (that’s probably not the right term for thundering V8s, is it?) of the Trans Am and Touring Car Masters entries providing the soundtrack, the highlight of the meeting was standing in awe of the spectacular race transporters in the paddock under lights.
