FIRST LOOK: MATT STONE RACING’S 2021 TRANSPORTER
The Gold Coast-based outfit has revealed a new truck, as well as some new stickers on its race trailers
Matt Stone Racing has a brand-new prime mover for its Supercars campaign this year, thanks to its partnership with Mercedes-Benz Trucks Australia.
Doing the heavy lifting this year is a new Mercedes Actros 2658LS, which had the MSR and NTI stickers applied to it late last week. We’re also seeing some serious orange lighting inside the cab.
While the trailer wrap appears very similar to last year, a closer look reveals some new sponsors stretching along the entirety of the B-Double race trailer set.
However, Yellow Cover by NTI and UNIT Clothing continue to occupy prime real estate on the transporter as the team’s major sponsors.
Matt Stone Racing’s Super 2 Series transporter was also in for a refresh late last week, with UNIT, SS Signs and Sherrin Rentals now appearing as the major sponsors on the single race trailer.
With the new stickers still fresh and barely a spec of dirt inside the cab, the team’s main game truck driver, Donny MacGregor, has an almost exactly 1000-kilometre trip south to Bathurst ahead of him today.
The action gets underway at Mount Panorama Circuit on Friday.
