EPIC ENGINE BRAKING FROM AUSTRALIAN SPEEDWAY TRANSPORTER
Pestka Motorsport put on a show with two glorious engine braking approaches on consecutive speedway race days
If there’s one thing we love, it’s the sound of a diesel engine hauling race gear to a track. And the Pestka Motorsport transporter gave us exactly that on two consecutive race weekends west of Melbourne earlier this year.
With its regular driver, James Stark at the helm, we got our first arrivals footage outside Avalon Raceway ahead of the ‘Return from Lockdown Cup’ in early January, which was also the first sprint car event at the Lara Circuit since the COVID-19 pandemic began in Australia. You can watch it here.
The following weekend, we made our way to Heytesbury Stockfeeds Simpson Speedway in Jancourt East for the Australian 360 Sprint Car Championship on a dreary day in Western Victoria.
However, the James Stark-driven Pestka Motorsport race transporter made the trip worthwhile once again, with some more engine braking that reverberated across the paddocks on either side of Speedway Drive. Hear it for yourself at this link.
And you can find the footage of the other transporter arrivals here.
We’ve got a couple more speedway events coming up at Avalon Raceway and Premier Speedway as the 2020/2021 speedway season concludes over the coming months. Keep an eye out for the next round of speedway arrivals soon.
If you see a speedway transporter out on the road, make sure you grab a photo (or video!) and share it on our Facebook group.
