ALFA ROMEO RACING ORLEN WELCOMES FIVE NEW IVECO S-WAY TRUCKS
Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN’s truck fleet shows no signs of shrinking for the 2021 Formula 1 season
IVECO has officially handed over five new S-WAY trucks to Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN for the 2021 F1 season. If you haven’t heard of the S-WAY before, it’s IVECO’s new-generation truck available in the competitive European market.
The new trucks partially renew the team’s logistics fleet tallying no less than 13 vehicles. Alongside the new S-WAY prime movers, the fleet also includes 7 IVECO Stralis trucks and a Daily van.
IVECO’s partnership with the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN team extends back to 2019, which involved an eye-watering initial delivery of 12 IVECO Stralis prime movers to the Hinwil-based outfit.
The new IVECO S-WAY trucks will ensure safe and efficient transportation of the team’s equipment to all the F1 European Grand Prix venues, from Portimão to Budapest.
According to Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN, the proven track record of IVECO’s vehicles, their reliability in a wide range of extreme conditions, and their exceptional fuel economy and low Total Cost of Ownership were key factors in the choice of truck partner.
Thomas Hilse, IVECO Brand President, stated: “We are proud of our partnership with Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN, and that they have renewed their trust in our vehicles with this new order of IVECO S-WAY trucks. We share the same values, ambitions and passions: with a strong team spirit, we strive for excellence, we constantly push the limits of performance. We are passionate for the world of sport and we are driven by the same objective: victory. IVECO has a long tradition in motor sport, providing the vehicles that transport Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN Formula 1 Grand Prix cars to the race tracks. We look forward to the new racing season and wish the Alfa Romeo Racing ORLEN team success.”
The trucks involved in the Formula 1 roadshow are heading to Portimão this week. The 2021 Portuguese Grand Prix begins with two practice sessions on Friday.
