A NEW TRUCK FOR TEKNO
Another MAN prime mover joins the Supercars roadshow.
Tekno Autosports has taken delivery of a new MAN TGX 26.580 PerformanceLine prime mover.
Penske Commercial Vehicles and Penske Power Systems Brisbane are behind this deal to bring the limited-edition model to the paddock.
It’s also the third truck delivered to TEKNO Autosports by Penske Power Systems Brisbane.
The PerformanceLine model broke cover at the Brisbane Truck Show earlier this year featuring an energy efficient advanced light and visibility package, twin pairing of mobile devices, leather Alcantara seats with blue seat belts and seams, steel blue metallic interior highlights on the dashboard and PerformanceLine badging on the doors.
Derek Schroff, Retail Sales Manager at Penske Power Systems Brisbane, explains why it won TEKNO over.
"After trialling a couple of different MANs, the PerformanceLine TGX 26.580 with the XLX cab was the truck the team felt lived up to its high-performance standards.
"The savings in fuel, great driver comfort, and exceptional standard safety package were all features that ticked the boxes in what the team was looking for.
"And with only ten 580hp PerformanceLine trucks entering the country, TEKNO's unique transporter will certainly turn heads when it enters the Supercars paddock."
Sergio Carboni, National Sales Manager – MAN, Penske Commercial Vehicles, shares a bit more about the model.
"The PerformanceLine builds on renowned MAN characteristics such as high power output, low whole-of-life costs, superior fuel economy, maximum safety and efficiency, and a quiet and ergonomic cabin environment, adding exclusivity for customers who want a truly special experience," he said.
"From various safety features such as ACC, EBS, ABS, ESP and more, to a quiet and comfortable cab, and an efficient Euro 6 engine, the team will surely enjoy the benefits of the PerformanceLine as it transports its race cars around the country."
Having waved goodbye to the Western Star 4800, look out for TEKNO Autosports’ new truck as the Supercars season of endurance approaches.
MAN is now the most represented brand in the Supercars paddock with Shell V-Power Racing Team and Erebus Motorsport also flying the flag for the German marque.
