A MELBOURNE PERFORMANCE CENTRE B-TRIPLE STUNNER

Please, universe, make this epic race transporter configuration happen

Our Facebook inbox lit up this morning with some photos of one of Melbourne Performance Centre’s race haulers looking even longer than usual. And with just one glance, we knew that this one would break the internet.

This was the idea of one of its drivers, Jola Ramsay, who wanted to see how the Croydon South-based squad’s popular Kenworth K200 B-Double would look in B-Triple road train configuration. And the answer? Absolutely bonkers.

Unfortunately, it’s not going to be driving around the streets of Melbourne’s north-east any time soon. Nor will we see it at a race track in the near future. Not only is this configuration restricted to limited rural areas, but according to Jola, the clearance between the first and second A-trailers is way too close to leave the shed.

However, we’re not losing hope just yet! It’s a case of never say never, because while the potential trips are limited, the B-Triple race transporter compilation has been done before. And the slick Melbourne Performance Centre operation is known for taking multiple B-Double transporters to race events, so on the right trip in the right circumstances, we might just see this one running for real.

As we gazed at this photo for far longer than we should have, we started to think about the other times where this configuration has been seen in Australian motorsport. Check them out below.
